McLennan Community College
In 2013, Baylor University and McLennan Community College partnered together to create Baylor Bound, a program designed to provide McLennan Community College students with a more direct path to transfer to Baylor. Over the years, some facets of this partnership have changed but there are two things that will remain the same, a deep commitment to one another and a deep commitment to helping students succeed.
As a result of this partnership, and the close-knit relationship the two Waco colleges possess, we want to offer McLennan students with a few unique benefits.
- Accessibility- Baylor regularly has staff or MCC Student Ambassadors on the McLennan County College campus.
- Scholarships-Baylor offers MCC transfer students some unique scholarship opportunities including the MCC Transfer Student Engagement Scholarship and the Baylor MAC Scholarship program.
- Advising- Whether you want to meet one on one to talk about the transfer admissions process, learn about transfer credit, or talk with an academic advisor, we are happy to schedule a time to talk! Just give us a call and we will be happy to meet! Find our contact information here.
- MCC Baylor Bound MAPS- Due to the unique relationship between the two schools, we have offered Major Academic Planners that give McLennan students detailed information related to what classes they should take to maximize their time at MCC and at Baylor. The 12 most common major MAPS can be found here.
Please contact us at any time during your academic journey to answer any questions you may have about transferring to Baylor. We are looking forward to having you on our campus as a Baylor bear!
“Being a transfer student, I was really worried about adjusting to a new school. The transfer staff at Baylor goes above and beyond to make sure you feel like you’re a part of the Baylor family from day one. I was able to meet with advisors at Baylor and MCC who helped me create an academic plan that prepared me to jump right in to my major as soon as I got to Baylor. I also got to meet other transfer students who helped me get involved in different organizations around campus. Now, I have valuable connections with faculty and friends at both MCC and Baylor that will last a lifetime.” - Collin Curry, 2018 MCC Transfer
