Transfer Success Scholarships

Identifying financial aid and scholarships is often a priority for transfer students. The One Stop Student Financial Services office offers several helpful resources including an explanation of aid types, scholarship listing, affordability guide and much more! Look around their website for more information or contact them.

Transfer Student Success also offers two scholarship opportunities for incoming transfer students. 

  1. If transferring from McLennan Community College, the MCC Transfer Engagement Scholarship. 
  2. All other incoming transfer student, the Transfer Engagement Scholarship.  

Transfer Engagement Scholarship

Steps to Apply:

Our applications are on a new platform called Scholarship Universe. See steps below to learn how to access and submit an application.

Step 1 – Log into your account at baylor.scholarshipuniverse.com. 
  • Use your Duo login with your Bear ID (First_Last1) and password. 
    Note: For prospective students, you must have been admitted, received your Bear ID, and completed the DUO process in order to log in.
  • If this is your first time logging in to Scholarship Universe, you may see a page asking you to confirm your contact information. If you see this page, click “I'm Ready” and move to the next step.
Step 2 – Answer questions about yourself to create your personalized profile. 
  • Some data will be pre-populated based on information Baylor already has.
  • Be sure to answer as many questions as you can to get the best scholarship matches. You can return anytime to answer any unanswered questions.
  • You can navigate to the questions from the Dashboard by clicking the big green button at the top of the page or clicking the “Questions” tab in the sidebar. 
Step 3 – Complete Application for Student Foundation Scholarships! 
  • Click the "Scholarships" tab in the sidebar.
  • Search for "Baylor Student Foundation Endowed Scholarships".
  • Select "Apply" on the right-hand side.
  • Verify your eligibility.
  • Complete all questions and submit the application. 

    Note: This application serves as a gateway to multiple scholarship opportunities among campus departments, meaning that you have the option to apply for multiple scholarships in this application. You may answer questions for any scholarships you are eligible for. 

How Much is the Scholarship?

  • $1,500 per semester ($3,000 per year)
  • Renewable for up to 4 years

What are the Requirements to Maintain a Transfer Engagement Scholarship?

Year One:

  • Remain in good disciplinary and academic standing with Baylor
  • Meet with Transfer Student Success Program Director 2 times during the first semester
  • Attend Transfer Welcome Week[end]
  • Participate in the Transfer Mentor Program (additional application required)

Year Two (and beyond):

  • Remaining in good disciplinary and academic standing with Baylor
  • Apply and serve as a transfer leader within Transfer Student Success
